Hello Mommies & Moms to be
It was about this time last year when I was 32 weeks pregnant and so eager to meet my little Princess.
Ahhhhh my 1st actual Mother’s Day with her right next to me and not in my belly. This day last year brought back so many memories from my maternity shoot I did with the amazing Lori Dorman. I actually felt just as much of a mother then also. I mean, she couldn’t scream at me like she does now, but I felt her kicks, her movement, and that bond. My love for her was still strong, but the day she entered this world was a deeper love that I can not even explain in words. I guess I can just say “That love a mother has for her child” type of love.
I started looking through all my pictures and she really did capture the pure love we have. This shoot really touched me then and now. I just remember being so excited and feeling so amazing and beautiful. (Thanks to my amazing friend Antonio for my make up and hair)
This before and after is my absolute favorite picture of all time. It was surreal to also shoot her 6 month (which I will post later) with Lori Dorman. I remember flashing back and looking into that empty carriage excited, nervous, and scared but so ready to meet her. Now, I can’t imagine my life without her.
As I look back at all these pictures, it makes me really appreciate mothers and the love we have for our babies. But my really good friend Jaclyn Carney brought up a good point as I quote her word for word below.
“Not every woman can call herself a mom. In reality, some women should never become mothers and some women will be more motherly than biological moms without ever having given birth. But for me and for those who have given life and continue to give our lives to make sure our little ones thrive, I’ve learned that we are as much of a miracle as they are.”
This is so true. You do not have to birth a child to love them unconditional as their mommy. I love this because it opened my eyes up to so many things. Motherhood is a choice you make everyday to put your children’s happiness, health & over all well-being before your own. It takes someone really special to love someone more than herself. So although I think EVERY day should be Mothers Day I would just like to wish you Mommies and moms to be a Happy Mothers week you deserve it!!
How did you spend your Mothers day? I really hoped you enjoyed the pictures as much as I loved to share them with you all.
Please tag and share to all those Mommies out there, you are a miracle too! #Princessbabydiary
