My first NON baby recipe (Sorry Princess this is for the adults ONLY)
I made this the other day when Daddy decided to cook dinner (shocker, I know). So I felt the need to contribute in some way. I figured if I’m going to have a couple glasses of wine later tonight “Wine not” just make it more refreshing and sweet. Haha
Okay, so this is a recipe I have used for many parties and family gatherings. I LOVE it and so does everyone else. If you are not a big fan of wine, this is still a must try. It will change your mind a little. Or become a SAHM wine will slowly become your gatorade quencher to surviving motherhood. (Yes, I’m a SAHM haha)
Red wine Sangria 1 Pitcher (Serves 4-6 or 2 Moms) jk…kinda
- 1 bottle of red wine (I prefer Cab because it has more of rich flavor, but you can use any red)
- 2 Green Apples
- 1 Orange for Garnish
- 3 White Nectarines (Peaches work just as good)
- 3 Cups of Fresh Squeezed orange juice about 7 Oranges (Store bought is also fine)
- 2 Cups of Ginger Ale (Feel free to add more if it is too strong)
Step 1: Pour full bottle of wine in pitcher. Chop apples and nectarines into 1/2 inch cubes and place in the pitcher of wine. Stir and let soak for about 10 min.
Step 2: Add orange juice and ginger ale (feel free to add more if it is too strong) and stir all ingredients together. Slice orange in Place in fridge to cool for about 30 mins so the ingredients can soak in all the goodness.
Step 3: Cut 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick slices of the orange and add to pitcher and glasses for garnish. Have a large spoon to scoop fruit into cups before pouring Sangria. Make sure you to fill cups with ice and serve CHILLED! YUMMY!
1 cups of Welch’s White grape fruit juice (Add more sweetness)
Feel free to mix it up and add your own personal touch!
This great for get togethers, dinners, or even just a refreshing drink to have and save in the fridge for the next day. The fruit soaks up more of the goodness. I also love this for dinners because it can serve as an awesome desert. Along with or after you enjoy the sangria. Not to mention you are still able to taste the sangria in every sweet bite. It is some what healthy right? Fruit and not carbs…I say absolutely!
